Coastal Radio Local Hero Awards 2023

Blackpool Industrial Roofing attended the Coastal radio Local Hero Awards on Friday 23rd June 2023, this was hosted at Viva Blackpool.
It was to our delight that one of our Company Directors Sean was nominated for “Fundraiser of The Year” Award 2023.
The evening was full of incredible stories of how individuals and organisations take time out of their day to help and positively impact their local community. Each nominee was as equally impressive as the last, all with their own stories of bravery, resilience and kindness to tell.

Sean has dedicated much of his time raising money for Brian House & Trinity Hospice over the last few years raising in total over a staggering £90,000.00!!!

The journey begin with the Thatched House Golf Society and their annual golf competitions over seas where they would golf in fancy dress to raise money for Trinity Hospice.
On the year of 2020 the Covid 19 pandemic stopped their annual trip but Sean and the team didn’t want that to halt the chances of raising the money for the hospice desperately requires to be able to run its services.

As the years have gone by Sean and Megan have expanded the event which is held annually at Poulton Golf club. With the help of local business and the local community, it has grown bigger each year and in turn earnt more and more money for the charity. With such huge support this one day event raised a whopping £35,000 last year alone.

This year is the 50th Year anniversary of Blackpool Industrial Roofing & we’ve incorporated that into the golf day by celebrating the 70’s, the year our company was founded. This will take place on 12th August 2023 & we’re hoping to make this our biggest event yet & in turn raising even more money for such a fantastic local charity.
